Antigua Guatemala developed a regular plan and substantial monuments. The 1773 earthquake caused severe destruction, leaving important monuments as ruins. [1]

Separate surviving spaces from missing volumes on a plan. A ruined hall’s present openness was not necessarily intended originally. Reconstruction needs historical evidence rather than filling gaps by symmetry from one photograph.
