The vehicle level sensor detects a position related to the height and inclination of the compartment. HELLA indicates applications in automatic headlight adjustment and adaptive running functions. [1]

It is not the same as a fuel level sensor or geographical position. When reading a diagnostic list specify which magnitude means "level". The general principle does not determine the number and locations of sensors in each car. A broken link or other deviation is evaluated by the exact scheme and working data, not just the name.
