caret-color sets the text cursor color to an editable field. This is the thin line that indicates where the next character will be entered, not the mouse pointer. [1]

Example: input, textarea { caret-color: darkblue; }. The text may remain black, and the cursor may be blue. Check its visibility on the background and on different themes . transparent makes it invisible, but does not prohibit editing. For an inaccessible field, use the correct HTML state; a hidden cursor only makes it difficult to write orientation.
