In brief
The combined sensor assists the dosing of the gas after the pressure from the tank is reduced.
Useful to know
In CNG, the natural gas from the tank passes through a regulator before reaching the fuel rack. Bosch describes a combined medium pressure and temperature sensor mounted to the rack that supports precise dosing. [1]
This measurement must not be mixed with the pressure inside the tank. Different locations in the system have different roles and operating conditions. The very abbreviation CNG does not make any gas sensor interchangeable with another.
When reading a circuit, track the sequence tank, adjust and feed to the engine. Thus, it becomes clearer why a specific value is measured exactly in a particular place. Do not use a common number for "normal gas pressure" without a model and mode. The description is for the function of the component, without instructions for setting a regulator or working on gas connections.
