Fog lights: a separate optical function

HELLA offers fog lamps as a separate product group for specific cars. Their optical purpose must be different from the main headlamps and from the working lamps. [1]

When replacing, check the exact function of the module, not just whether the housing enters the bumper hole. An external size does not describe the light distribution. Do not use the number of lamps on as a direct measure for better visibility. The useful judgment is how the relevant system illuminates the road under the conditions for which it was designed.
