Bosch’s Evasive Steering Support can assist when a collision risk is detected and the driver starts an evasive manoeuvre. Additional steering torque helps guide the movement around the obstacle. [1]

Depending on the implementation, camera and radar data help calculate a suitable path. This does not promise that the car will always select a clear route on its own. Unlike emergency braking, the function supports steering already initiated by the driver. Check the specific activation conditions and how the driver can override it in the vehicle’s manual.
