Bosch describes remote firmware updates and on-demand functions for motorcycles. The software can be updated over a connected service instead of necessarily visiting a service station for any change. [1]

Updating an existing feature and purchasing an additional option are not the same action. In a specific model, check what is included, what is additionally activated, and what conditions are needed when installing. Do not assume that any hardware feature can only be added with software. Availability depends on the equipment and manufacturer's policy.
