In brief
some() answers with true or false. Use it as a presence question when you don't need the found record yourself.
Useful to know
To check if at least one item fulfils condition JavaScript offers some(). The method returns true at the first match. If it does not find one, it returns false; for an empty array the result is also false. [1]
For example, const stock = [0, 0, 5]; stock.some(quantity => quantity > 0) gives true. The conditional question is whether there is any availability. At [0, 0] the answer is false. It is not necessary to create a new list just to check if it has items.
The method does not return the value found . true does not tell you whether the availability is 5 or 50, nor how many products correspond. Select find() for the very first entry or filter() for all matches.
The verification function is most understandable when it only reads the data. Changing the array during search makes it difficult to track the result and is usually not necessary for a presence question. [1]
